Written by people who write for a living

Notes from twelve of the 90,000 writers, editors and students who draft in Inkwell, shared with their permission.

Clara Jensen

Novelist, Copenhagen

“I wrote the last 60,000 words of my second novel in Inkwell. Version history saved chapter nine twice, once from a bad edit at 2 a.m. and once from my cat. The outline view is where the book finally made sense to me.”
Amara Okafor

Policy researcher, Brightpath Institute

“Citations stay attached to the sentence they support, even after I move paragraphs around. That alone is worth the subscription.”
Daniel Reyes

Freelance copywriter

“Focus mode and a 25-minute timer. I bill 30% more hours than last year.”
Kenji Watanabe

Technical writer, Kestrel

“Our docs moved from eleven shared folders into one workspace with review comments. Release notes take an hour now, not a day.”
Hanna Berg

Reporter, Nordlys Weekly

“Wrote offline for a whole nine-hour flight and it synced the moment I landed. Filed the story from the taxi.”
Priya Nair

MSc student, public health

“Exported an 80-page thesis into my university’s template. Not one footnote broke.”
Owen Gallagher

Screenwriter

“Cancelled two other apps the week I switched. Script formatting just works.”
Lena Fischer

Editor, Halcyon Press

“I edit four authors at once. My suggestions read like notes in the margin, so they accept them without a call, and the change log shows exactly what went into each draft. Our last anthology went to print three weeks early.”
Mateo Rossi

Content lead, Quayside

“Three of us publish 14 articles a week. Templates and the style checker do the boring half.”
Yusuf Demir

Podcast producer

“Transcripts land in the draft with timestamps, so show notes take twenty minutes instead of two hours.”
Isabel Moreno

UX writer, Fernhill

“Word counts per section keep our interface copy honest. Our error messages got 40% shorter in a quarter.”
Tunde Bakare

Writes the Lagos Letters newsletter

“I draft, schedule and see who opened each issue without leaving the page. The newsletter grew from 2,000 to 18,000 readers in a year, and I still run it from one tab on a train.”
